I can’t believe the first month of school is over! What happened? It has been a whirlwind of activity here at Methodist Preschool. I have been getting to know each child here and the students have been learning new classroom routines. Now, we are getting down to business – fun business! The teachers are beginning to prepare some exciting fall lessons that are engaging and tailored just for your children. And I am planning some amazing fall school activities that will bring us all together for a little preschool family fun.
Fall is also a great time to get outside with your little ones. The weather is beginning to get cooler, the leaves change colors, and animals can be seen – and heard! – getting ready for winter. Go for a little nature walk and talk about what you see and hear. It is a great way to build vocabulary and spend some quality time with your children.
Visiting a pumpkin patch is another wonderful fall activity. Did you know Canyon Lake has a local pumpkin patch? Stahlman’s at Bear Creek Farm Stand off FM2722 is locally owned and operated and sets up a pumpkin patch every year. You can pick out your own pumpkin, take pictures in the patch, and stay to purchase all kinds of deliciousness – from garden veggies to BBQ!
What do you have planned for the season? Let us know in the comments section and share with other families. We love to get new and exciting ideas for children’s activities.
Happy Fall, Ya’ll!
